Commissioning Engineer
Your Responsibilities
Commissioning of production plants which includes, but is not limited to:
- System startup of PLC, HMI systems, networks, field devices, etc.
- Signal check of IO-loops (analog, digital)
- Functional test including cold- and hot commissioning
- Troubleshooting software errors, IO-loops, networks, plant optimization, etc.
- Training of operation and maintenance team
Coordinating with professionals from other disciplines (e.g. mechanical or electrical engineering)
Working in line with and reporting to site/project management on commissioning tasks (schedule, progress, forecast)
Your Qualifications
- Educational background in electrical or automation engineering or a related discipline or significant professional experience
- Fluent in spoken and written English; additional language skills considered beneficial (e.g. Spanish, Portuguese, French)
- Working knowledge of PLC and HMI systems (preferred Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider) as an automation engineer, commissioning engineer or maintenance engineer
- Proven electrical knowledge including electrical drawings, signal check and troubleshooting, setup of protection and control devices, etc.)
- Flexibility regarding working hours and a willingness to undertake significant international travel (permanent global operation)
- Results-oriented
- Ability to work independently and use initiative to solve problems
- Confident demeanor and intercultural communication skills
- Physical fitness to occasionally work under extreme conditions such as in tropical climates or at high altitude (up to 4,000m above sea level)
- International driver’s license
- SCC-certificate (Safety Certificate Contractors) desirable
